Beginning as lumber entrepreneurs amidst the decline of northern timber, we provided for diverse industries using Cottonwood and Sweet Gum from the Mississippi River Valley. In the 1920s, in response to the demand for paper containers, we shifted to producing premium lumber, acquiring mills, and building a reputable standing.
